Frequently Asked Questions
What does moving weight to the front vs. the back of a Callaway Quantum driver actually do to launch and spin?
Forward weighting lowers the center of gravity relative to the face, which generally promotes a lower spin, more penetrating ball flight, which is a common preference among faster swing speed players or those looking to reduce ballooning drives. Rear weighting does the opposite: it moves the CG further from the face, increasing dynamic loft at impact and typically producing higher launch with more spin, which can help slower swing speeds get the ball airborne more easily. On the Callaway Quantum, the front round weight and rear track weights work together, so adjusting one without considering the other will affect the overall CG position and shot shape.
Is this the same weight used in the Callaway Quantum Mini Driver and Triple Diamond Fairway Wood, or are those different parts?
Yes, this front round weight is confirmed compatible with the Callaway Quantum Mini Driver and Triple Diamond Fairway Woods in addition to the full driver lineup. The round weight port is shared across these models, so the same part covers multiple clubs in the Quantum family. If you're building or re-shafting more than one club from this lineup, you won't need separate weights for each model.
Can I use these Callaway Quantum weights to restore swing weight after installing a new shaft?
Yes. Many club builders use replacement head weights to restore factory swing weight after changing shaft weight, grip weight, or playing length. Adjusting head weight allows you to fine-tune club feel without permanently modifying the club, making it a common solution during driver fitting and custom builds.
How many weights will I receive per order?
Each order quantity of 1 includes one (1) individual weight in your selected gram option. Multiple weights and color variations may appear in our listing photos to showcase the available options, demonstrate installation, or provide product context — but a single quantity at checkout means one weight will be shipped.
If you need multiple weights, simply adjust your quantity at checkout or add each gram option individually to your cart.
Are the listed weights exact, and what are the manufacturing tolerances?
Due to standard manufacturing tolerances, the exact weight of each component may vary slightly from the listed gram value. Our target tolerance is ±0.5 grams, and in practice our components frequently exceed that standard — meaning real-world variance is often even tighter than our published tolerance.
For context, golf club heads from major manufacturers typically carry a tolerance of ±1–2 grams, and golf grips and shafts often have similar or larger variances. Our ±0.5g target is held to a higher standard than most of the components already in your bag. For products that include a screw and/or washer, listed weights reflect the total weight of the component including the screw and/or washer that ship with the product as an "installed unit weight."
These minor variations do not significantly impact performance and are well within accepted industry standards. Please review these tolerances before purchasing. By placing an order you acknowledge these variations as a normal part of precision manufacturing. If you have any questions before ordering, feel free to contact us.
