Ping G430 Fairway & Hybrid Weights

The Ping G430 hybrid and G430 fairway woods share the same sole weight port design, and these replacement weights fit both club types identically using the same T25 Torx wrench. This is particularly useful for golfers or builders working across a matched set of G430 fairways and hybrids, as a single weight purchase covers both without needing separate parts.

Ping commonly installs sole weights with a threadlocking compound at the factory to prevent rattling, which can make the original weight feel seized on the first removal. If the weight will not turn with steady pressure from a T25 Torx wrench, stop before you strip the screw head.

Applying a small amount of heat to the weight softens the threadlocker and usually allows it to back out normally. Use gentle, localized heat and give it a moment to work through before trying again. Make sure the wrench is fully seated in the screw head and turn slowly — most stripped weights happen when a partially seated wrench is forced.

When installing the replacement, snug it down firmly but do not over-tighten. Continuing to tighten past seated, including with a torque wrench that clicks, risks damaging the threads in the head.

A general rule in club fitting is that every 2 grams of head weight change shifts swing weight by approximately one swing weight point (e.g., D1 to D2). Start from the factory weight for your model — 12g on standard G430 fairway woods and hybrids, or 5.5g on the High Launch versions — and adjust from there.

If you have installed a longer or lighter aftermarket shaft, dropping to a lighter weight helps bring swing weight back into your target range. For a shaft playing shorter than standard or a heavier shaft profile, stepping up to a heavier weight adds back the head feel lost in the build. Most club fitters recommend making one change at a time and re-measuring on a swing weight scale between adjustments.

Each order quantity of 1 includes one (1) individual weight in your selected gram option. This is the correct quantity for a single G430 fairway wood or hybrid, since these heads take one sole weight each.

Multiple weights and gram options may appear in our listing photos to showcase the available range, demonstrate installation, or provide product context — but a single quantity at checkout means one weight will be shipped. If you need multiple weights, simply adjust your quantity at checkout or add each gram option individually to your cart.

Due to standard manufacturing tolerances, the exact weight of each component may vary slightly from the listed gram value. Our target tolerance is ±0.5 grams, and in practice our components frequently exceed that standard — meaning real-world variance is often even tighter than our published tolerance.

For context, golf club heads from major manufacturers typically carry a tolerance of ±1–2 grams, and golf grips and shafts often have similar or larger variances. Our ±0.5g target is held to a higher standard than most of the components already in your bag. For products that include a screw and/or washer, listed weights reflect the total weight of the component including the screw and/or washer that ship with the product as an "installed unit weight."

These minor variations do not significantly impact performance and are well within accepted industry standards. Please review these tolerances before purchasing.
