Replacement Sole Weights for Ping G440 Fairway Woods & Hybrids

Fine-tune swing weight, ball flight, and overall feel with these precision-machined aftermarket weights for Ping G440 fairway woods and hybrids. Designed to fit the factory sole weight port, these weights allow golfers and club builders to adjust head weight for improved performance during fitting or shaft changes.

Ping G440 fairway woods and hybrids use interchangeable sole weights to help optimize swing weight and center of gravity. Adjusting weight allows players to fine-tune trajectory, launch, and overall club feel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this weight fit the Ping G440 hybrid the same way as the fairway wood, or are those different parts?

The Ping G440 hybrid and G440 fairway woods share the same sole weight port design, and these replacement weights fit both club types identically using the same T25 Torx torque wrench. This is particularly useful for golfers or builders working across a matched set of G440 fairways and hybrids, as a single weight purchase covers both without needing separate parts.

What is the difference between the Ping G440 Max, LST, and SFT fairway woods — and does weight tuning work differently across the three?

The G440 Max is the most forgiving of the three, the LST is a low-spin option suited to faster swing speeds seeking a flatter ball flight, and the SFT is draw-biased for golfers who tend to fade or miss right. All three share the same sole weight port and accept these replacement weights identically, so the tuning process is consistent across the lineup. Where the model difference matters is in baseline CG position.

This listing goes up to 24g — when would a club builder actually need a weight that heavy in a fairway wood or hybrid?

Upper-range weights in the 20g–24g bracket are most commonly used in very short builds where swing weight needs to be significantly increased to bring the club into a playable range. For standard re-shafts using conventional shaft weights, most builds land in the 8g–14g range — the upper end of this listing exists for edge cases in professional fitting and custom builds rather than typical off-the-shelf setups.

How many weights will I receive per order?

Each order quantity of 1 includes one (1) individual weight in your selected gram option. Multiple weights and color variations may appear in our listing photos to showcase the available options, demonstrate installation, or provide product context — but a single quantity at checkout means one weight will be shipped.

If you need multiple weights, simply adjust your quantity at checkout or add each gram option individually to your cart.

Are the listed weights exact, and what are the manufacturing tolerances?

Due to standard manufacturing tolerances, the exact weight of each component may vary slightly from the listed gram value. Our target tolerance is ±0.5 grams, and in practice our components frequently exceed that standard — meaning real-world variance is often even tighter than our published tolerance.

For context, golf club heads from major manufacturers typically carry a tolerance of ±1–2 grams, and golf grips and shafts often have similar or larger variances. Our ±0.5g target is held to a higher standard than most of the components already in your bag. For products that include a screw and/or washer, listed weights reflect the total weight of the component including the screw and/or washer that ship with the product as an "installed unit weight."

These minor variations do not significantly impact performance and are well within accepted industry standards. Please review these tolerances before purchasing. By placing an order you acknowledge these variations as a normal part of precision manufacturing. If you have any questions before ordering, feel free to contact us.
