Scotty Cameron Putter Weight Wrench – T-Handle

The tool you need to change Scotty Cameron sole weights. The pins on the face of this wrench seat into the drive holes on the weight, letting you back out a factory weight and install a replacement without marking the sole or rounding anything off.

The T-handle gives you the most leverage of any Scotty weight tool, which matters on the first removal. Scotty Cameron installs sole weights at the factory with a mild bonding adhesive, so the original weights are often stubborn the first time they come out — the long handle lets you apply steady torque with control rather than force.

Fits both thread types. Because this wrench engages the drive holes on the face of the weight rather than the thread itself, it works on Scotty Cameron large thread and small thread weights alike. You do not need to know which thread your putter uses to buy the right tool.

Key Features

• T-handle design for maximum leverage on stubborn factory weights
• Works on both large thread and small thread Scotty Cameron weights
• Pins seat into the weight's drive holes for a secure, no-slip turn
• Ideal for club builders, fitters, and golfers tuning swing weight at home
• Precision-machined for consistent pin spacing and durability

Scotty Cameron installs factory sole weights with a mild bonding adhesive. If a weight will not release with steady hand pressure, apply a small amount of heat to soften the adhesive before trying again rather than forcing it. Please note that incorrect installation or over-tightening risks damaging the screw thread.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know whether my putter uses large thread or small thread weights to buy this wrench?

No. Scotty Cameron uses two different weight thread standards, but that difference is in the threaded post, not the face of the weight. This wrench engages the drive holes on the face, so it works on both large thread and small thread weights across the entire Scotty Cameron lineup.

Thread type only matters when you are buying replacement weights. For the tool, one wrench covers everything.

My factory weight will not budge. What am I doing wrong?

Probably nothing. Scotty Cameron installs sole weights at the factory using a mild bonding adhesive to stop them rattling loose, so the original weights are commonly stubborn the first time they come out. Every weight after that turns easily.

Make sure the pins are fully seated in the drive holes before applying pressure, and turn slowly and steadily rather than snapping at it. If it still will not release, apply a small amount of localized heat to soften the adhesive and try again. Forcing a seized weight is how drive holes get chewed up.

What is the difference between the T-handle wrench and the socket wrench?

Both engage the weight the same way and both fit large and small thread weights. The difference is how you apply force and how you carry them.

This T-handle gives you the most leverage by hand, which makes it the easier choice for breaking loose factory-sealed weights and the more comfortable one for repeated use at a bench. Our socket-style wrench is lower profile and fits in a golf bag, and it accepts a 3/8 inch ratchet if you want mechanical leverage. If you are working on clubs regularly, the T-handle is the better bench tool.

How many wrenches will I receive per order?

Each order quantity of 1 includes one (1) wrench. Multiple tools, finishes, or weights may appear in our listing photos to demonstrate use or provide product context, but a single quantity at checkout means one wrench will be shipped. Sole weights are sold separately.

Will this wrench work on weights from other putter brands?

This wrench is designed around the pin spacing used on Scotty Cameron sole weights. Other putter brands use their own weight designs and drive patterns, so we only list it as compatible with Scotty Cameron.

If you are working on another brand and want to check before ordering, send us a photo of the weight face and we will tell you whether the pattern matches.
