Brampton PRO-FIX Glass Shafting Beads are designed to help stabilize and center a golf shaft during epoxy bonding, especially when the shaft-to-hosel fit is slightly loose.
These .002" glass oxide granules can be mixed into Brampton PRO-FIX epoxy to increase viscosity and help keep the shaft properly centered inside the hosel while the epoxy cures. They can also help improve the structural and mechanical strength of the bond, cushion impact, and reduce the risk of tip breakage.
Glass shafting beads are especially useful when installing shaft adapters, reshafting clubs, or working with a hosel fit that has a small amount of play. Add only a small amount to the epoxy mixture before bonding.
Key Features:
- Helps center the shaft in the hosel
- Useful for slightly loose shaft-to-hosel fits
- .002" glass oxide granules

Important: Do not exceed a 2–4% mix ratio of glass beads to epoxy by volume. Too many glass beads can compromise the bond.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are glass shafting beads used for?
Glass shafting beads are added to golf club epoxy when the shaft-to-hosel fit is slightly loose. They help keep the shaft centered in the hosel while the epoxy cures and can add mechanical support to the bond.
When should I use glass beads?
Use glass beads when there is a small amount of play between the shaft and hosel or shaft adapter. They are commonly used during reshafting, adapter installs, and club repairs where the fit is not perfectly snug.
How much should I add to the epoxy?
Brampton recommends mixing glass beads at 2–4% by volume with PRO-FIX epoxy. Do not exceed this amount, as too many glass beads can compromise the bond.
When do I add the glass beads?
Add the glass beads before mixing Part A and Part B of the epoxy together. Once added, mix thoroughly and apply the epoxy mixture as normal.
Can adding too many glass beads weaken the bond?
Yes. Adding too many glass beads can compromise the epoxy bond. Only a small amount is needed to help center the shaft and increase viscosity.
