Callaway AI Smoke Max Driver Rear Weight

Fine-tune swing weight, ball flight, and overall feel with these precision-machined aftermarket rear weights for the Callaway AI Smoke Max driver. Designed to fit the factory rear weight port, they let golfers and club builders adjust head weight during a fitting, after a re-shaft, or to replace a weight that has gone missing.

Rear weighting sits furthest from the face, so it has an outsized effect on where the center of gravity lands. Heavier rear weights push CG back for a more stable, forgiving setup and add swing weight; lighter rear weights help hold balance when building with a heavier shaft or a longer playing length.

These weights install with a standard T25 Torx torque wrench and are a straightforward way to rebalance the club without changing anything else in the build.

Key Features

• Precision-machined for consistent fit and durability

A note on finish and materials. To reach each gram value within the same physical footprint, these weights are machined from different base metals depending on the weight selected — lighter options use less dense alloys, heavier options use denser ones. Plating behaves differently across those materials, so weights of different gram values will not match one another in shade, and coating batches vary slightly from run to run. As a result, the finish on the weight you receive may differ from the finish shown in our product photos. Variation of this kind is inherent to plated components produced across mixed base materials and is not considered a defect.

Frequently Asked Questions

What tool do I need to replace a Callaway AI Smoke Max driver weight?

Installation requires a standard T25 Torx golf torque wrench. Each replacement weight includes the installed screw when applicable, allowing golfers and club builders to quickly replace a missing weight or fine-tune swing weight during a custom build.

Can changing the rear weight on a Callaway AI Smoke Max driver affect launch and forgiveness?

Yes. Rear weighting helps influence overall head weight, center of gravity location, and club feel. Heavier rear weights can increase swing weight and promote a more stable, forgiving driver setup, while lighter weights may help maintain balance when using heavier shafts or longer playing lengths.

My AI Smoke Max driver has more than one weight. Which one does this listing cover?

This listing covers the rear weight on the Callaway AI Smoke Max driver only — the position furthest back on the sole. It is not interchangeable with the screw-in head weight used across the wider AI Smoke lineup.

If the weight you are replacing is the one shared with the Max D, Max Fast, Triple Diamond, or Ti 340 Mini, you want our AI Smoke Triple Diamond Weight listing instead. If you are unsure which one you removed, send us a photo before ordering and we will confirm it for you.

How many weights will I receive per order?

Each order quantity of 1 includes one (1) individual weight in your selected gram option. Multiple weights and color variations may appear in our listing photos to showcase the available options, demonstrate installation, or provide product context — but a single quantity at checkout means one weight will be shipped.

If you need multiple weights, simply adjust your quantity at checkout or add each gram option individually to your cart.

Are the listed weights exact, and what are the manufacturing tolerances?

Due to standard manufacturing tolerances, the exact weight of each component may vary slightly from the listed gram value. Our target tolerance is ±0.5 grams, and in practice our components frequently exceed that standard — meaning real-world variance is often even tighter than our published tolerance.

For context, golf club heads from major manufacturers typically carry a tolerance of ±1–2 grams, and golf grips and shafts often have similar or larger variances. Our ±0.5g target is held to a higher standard than most of the components already in your bag. For products that include a screw and/or washer, listed weights reflect the total weight of the component including the screw and/or washer that ship with the product as an "installed unit weight."

These minor variations do not significantly impact performance and are well within accepted industry standards. Please review these tolerances before purchasing. By placing an order you acknowledge these variations as a normal part of precision manufacturing. If you have any questions before ordering, feel free to contact us.
