Measure club length the way the USGA does. This attachment slides onto an Empire 4004 48" aluminum ruler and sets the club at exactly 60°, the official plane for measuring drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons and wedges. Ruler not included with purchase.

Accurate from zero. Both 60° walls meet right at the ruler's zero mark. A shaft guide keeps the club centered over the ruler, and the open top lets everything from wedges to drivers drop right in.

Built to hang. The ruler's hang hole stays open with the attachment installed, and ledges under the ruler keep it from sliding out. The whole setup hangs on a hook or nail instead of taking up bench space.

Is the ruler included?

No. The attachment is sold on its own and fits the Empire 4004 48" aluminum ruler, which is widely available at hardware stores and online. The ruler in our listing photos is there to show fit and use.

Why is it set at 60 degrees?

The USGA measures the length of every club except putters with the club lying on a horizontal plane and the sole set against a 60° plane. That covers drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons and wedges. Measuring at the same angle every time means your numbers line up with how manufacturers and club builders measure, instead of changing with how the club happens to sit.

Will it fit a ruler other than the Empire 4004?

Possibly, but we have only confirmed the Empire 4004. Other 2" wide aluminum rulers may slide in, but width, thickness and where the zero mark sits relative to the end of the ruler vary by brand, and that last one directly affects accuracy. We list only what we have tested. Message us with your ruler's brand and model and we'll tell you what we know.

Can I measure putters with it?

No. Putter length is measured along the axis of the shaft down to the sole rather than against a 60° plane, so a 60° tool will not give a rules-correct putter length. This attachment is for drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons and wedges.

How many attachments come with each order?

Each order quantity of 1 includes one (1) attachment. It works for both right- and left-handed clubs, so one is all you need. The ruler and clubs shown in our listing photos are not included.
